Good morning family,
I hope God is blessing you double. I am so delighted with Wesley! We are being the church in the midst of “much ado”. You are stepping up to take leadership and showing love in so many ways. You are evidencing commitment by being here and being faithful to be “in church” (Facebook too) on Sunday morning, Wednesday night, small groups, and all children’s activities. I thank you for your commitment. You have blessed my soul and are honoring God in such a beautiful way.
Those of you who made your pledge in our stewardship campaign understand it is an act of worship. I am so grateful for all sacrifices being made. We are being THE church and I am praising the Lord. Wesley is going forward as God’s children, soldiers, and servants. I am asking you to continue and be a part as we minister. To be present in person when God tells you it is safe. I remind you it is a balance tween “Don’t put your Lord God to a foolish test” and “God has not given us a spirit of fear…” It is a daily adventure for us all. The masks and sanitizer are a pain. I hate not being able to hug. But family, did we really appreciate what we had? It has sure been a lesson in thankfulness for me. What a joy it will be when we can sing again and share a meal together. But until then, we worship, wait, and serve being thankful in our situation, not for it.
We are moving into our holiday season with our drive-thru Trunk or Treat. All Saints, Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas are to follow. We will not let those special times go by without notice nor celebration. We just have to be creative. Walk with me in the light we have and this verse for the month. Romans 5:3-4. “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.“ I myself am still working on “glory in”, but I do trust God to be at work in all things and I know I am growing thru the circumstances. Knowing what grows from times like these my family, we can persevere; we can grow in character; we have an unfailing hope. We will find our way and grow in our discipleship as we go. I am praying for each of you and I am here.

Love you with God’s love and heart, Pastor Sarah
